The objective of a game of poker is to create the best hand from a hand of cards and win the pot. Players make bets until one or more players drop out. Then, the player will no longer be able to compete for the pot.

The dealer will then deal the cards to each player and shuffle them at the end of each hand. Players buy into the game by purchasing chips. Typically, the amount of each player’s chip is equal to the amount of their buy-in. Some games are “deuces wild” or “wild” hands.
